Mobiles aren't just for the crib anymore - they have become works of art that are beautiful to display for children of all ages (even grown-up aged!) So hang a mobile in your child's room and I guarantee he or she will think it is quite wonderful!

These lanterns make a cute "mobile" (they are pretty hung over a crib/bed, so that counts!) I LOVE using lanterns and just for the record, I think they are wonderful for all occasions and in any room!

This is the mobile I just made for my baby, Cali. (It cost all of $2.00 to make!) You will see in the picture that I currently have to live with white walls. The horror! We recently moved from our big, beautiful, colorful, and inexpensive home in Arizona to a tiny, dumpy rental house in California - where I'm not allowed to paint on the walls! I will just have to be content to paint for other people until we are able to buy me some walls to paint!
I have to include this picture - it is a picture of the mobile that hung over my own crib, 30-something years ago. I guess it can be considered a "vintage" piece! I LOVE that my ever-sentimental Mom saved the mobile for me. I used in my baby's nursery (2 different kids) before it was too fragile to hang safely. (It is now it storage for one of my daughters to have when she is a Mom.)
