Every once in awhile I come across pictures of homes decorated in all white. These pictures fascinate me - not only because I'm surprise that I find them beautiful (I'm a lover of LOTS of color), but because I can't imagine a world where all-white would work.
In my home, white mutates into grey or beige or splotches of grey or beige way too fast!
Only in a kid/pet/husband/dust free home would all white work, right? But in the text of the magazine article accompanying the beautiful pictures is always this comment, or one very similar to it: "White is actually very family friendly. You can always bleach messes out." Do I sound immature if my reaction to that is "Whateverrrrr!"? I've tried to bleach the heck out of my formerly-white things and they are never the same afterwords - and never really white again either! And what about all those things that bleach won't work on?
Well, I will admit that people seem to manage to keep some rooms pristine and maybe all white decor is possible in guest rooms or formal living rooms, or maybe a master bedroom. But that is it! Certainly no rooms where children go could stay white! Wrong - I've come to learn! There are people brave enough to decorate their kids rooms/nurseries in white!!! The following rooms are decorated in white and I think they are beautiful!

Now I must meet the people who use these rooms and see how they manage it (and to find out if they are even from the same planet as us!)
